Re-Thinking Project Management Series:
Human Dynamics in Project Management: The New PM Priority

Picture
Date: Next sessions are targeted for Q2 2020
Duration: 7 contact hours
Location(s): Northern Virginia, Richmond, Atlanta
Time (duration): 9am to 430pm (7 hrs)

Description: This seminar is designed to introduce the student to the emerging field of human dynamics in project management. When discussions begin concerning human interface, interactions, human resource staffing, teaming, conflict, etc. in connection with the discipline of Project Management, our attention is often turned to the PMBOK Knowledge Area of Project Human Resource Management. Now the emerging field of human dynamics mandates a much broader and deeper consideration of the subject for the contemporary project manager. This seminar (overview) will help participants re-think how they see the human landscape in their present workplace/space, provide some valuable insights to apply immediately, and establish a forward-looking action plan. Attendees will not see their workplace in the same way after this seminar.

Re-Thinking Project Management Series:
Embracing Chaos and Complexity in New Era Project Management

Picture
Date: Next sessions are targeted for Q2 2020
Duration: 7 contact hours
Location(s): Northern Virginia, Richmond, Atlanta
Time (duration): 9am to 430pm (7 hrs)

Description: Our world has changed quite dramatically during the past two decades. Project environments are stressed more than ever as are project managers attempting to achieve "on time, on budget." Despite all the technical capabilities available, and novel new work designs promoting "agility" and "on time, under budget" mantras, the statistics indicate project failure still exceeds project success. This session explores why a new era demands a re-thinking of managing projects and project teams.

Re-Thinking Project Management Series:
The Project Manager as Project Leader

Picture
Date: Next sessions are targeted for Q2 2020
Duration: 7 contact hours
Location(s): Northern Virginia, Richmond, Atlanta
Time (duration): 9am to 430pm (7 hrs)

Description: This is a seminar designed to address the contemporary issue of the changing role and focus of the Project Manager in the 21st century workplace/space. Over the past two decades, there have been significant changes taking place across the organizational landscape....The “neat and tidy” managerial structures that had their defining origins a half century or more in the past have now come up against a new paradigm where the lines between various managerial roles and responsibilities have become blurred or disappeared altogether. Nowhere is this more the case – and more imperative that we address – than in the area of project management.
