December 19 The "Authentic Learning" Project Manager
One of the hallmarks of a well-run project is the capture and use of "lessons learned." But that implies that learning took place! "Authentic learning" should be the experience of every project manager. But is it? This is not about the accumulation of knowledge but rather the remarkable process of brain-based acquisition of knowledge. Too academic? Most training is centered on "what" we learn instead of "how" we learn. This has incredibly practical implications involving human development, fulfillment, the effects of stress, memory and recall, and more.
